    Supplier commission

    9carrots builds relationships with suppliers of energy-efficient appliances etc. They have a great interest in the installations that 9carrots does and provide us with a sales commission on all installations. See the suppliers list for details of all current relationships. This is normally around 10%.

    Suppliers also provide groups with advice, precise details on teh best products for the job and also carry out the installation.

    Accreditation

    After local businesses have reached a complete state of energy efficiency, potentially with micro-generation projects as well, they will have nothing more to do. Because of this they will be outside of the 9carrots model.

    We could then offer them "accreditation". This could mean that they pay £5 a month to the local environmental group in exchange for a 6 monthly environmental health check and also to continue to be advertised through 9carrots as an "accredited" member.

    Businesses could pay for advertising to the local community through 9carrots to shoppers who have registered for promotional emails.
