    First green target reached! Wine bar installing low-energy lighting

    Thanks to 9carrots supporters, the Mr. Lawrence Wine Bar hit its upgrade target today: energy efficient lighting is now being installed throughout the bar. Mr. Lawrence, who had agreed to invest 10% of the extra custom he received, purchased the light bulbs after only three months on the 9carrots scheme. Mr. Lawrence has asked 9carrots to advise him on how else he can save energy, and is now looking at installing solar panels. read more...

    Gil-Lec becomes first official 9carrots supplier

    Gil-Lec supplies low energy lighting, dimmers and the like and they really know their stuff. They have agreed to give 10% of each sale to supporting 9carrots and will advise local groups on which products best suit the local business's requirements. read more...

    9carrots brings together Transition Towns, People and Planet groups, consumers, local businesses, suppliers of energy-efficient products and environmental advisers. It is a bottom-up organisation designed and run by the community that use it. The community area is an open public area where you can discuss, ask and add information about how 9carrots should work. Simply sign up or log in to join the conversation.

    A new starter pack that explains the steps to gettingĀ  local businesses involved in transition is currently being crafted on the web site. Transition Networks are helping and you can view progress and contribute in the new community area.
