Desired actions
- 13, jun, 2011by orangejonWe'd like people to:
- make a purchase in a participating business
- register the receipts (because this allows us to list the supporters of each business and keep in touch with them)
- tell a friend / get a friend to do it

Incentives

- register your receipt for a chance to win a free gift (either provided by us or the businesses.. it's in their interest to be able to keep in touch with people too)
- give your receipt to a friend and they can register it with their first purchase (i.e. it'll count twice)
- get "badges", e.g. your first purchase in this (type of) business -> allow you to post them to Facebook/twitter or receive physical badges to attach to your shopping bag
- get a physical badge / sticker / shopping bag when you've registered your 10th receipt
- leaderboards, e.g. most vouchers registered, most friends signed up (FourSquare just displays people immediately above and below you on the scoreboard)
- Mayor of a business = the person who registers the most receipts
- wrap up several of the above into "carrot points" - several ways to earn them, points mean prizes/respect
- give people missions, e.g. "Throw a carrot party: get more than 5 different people to register receipts on the same day" (and you'll get a free round?)
- stats - receipts registered, money spent, total business spending commitment, CO2 saved etc.
