Subject: 9carrots "seemingly harmless infiltration" mission complete

Your email notifications are in funny mode. Please reply with the subject "no more funny" to switch to dry mode.

Congratulations agent provocatuer [name]. Your first 9carrots mission "seemingly harmless infiltration" is complete. You have a new badge (on the right there) and we invite you to spread the idea by showing you some more nice badges that you would get if you did:

Holly crap these badges are so incredibly gorgeous that I'm inspired to completely change the culture in my local community through 9carrots. Give one of your 9carrots receipts to someone else to re-register. Their purchases will then count towards your points and you will see the change on your purchases screen as it spreads.

It has been suggested that a little 9carrots agent card for ones wallet can help remind one of ones missions (a.k.a. badges). Well, it will be of little surprise to you that we have made a little agent card for one to keep in ones wallet then. If you complete your full postal address we'll send it to you. For a full list of missions see the badges screen.

I doubt you've made it all the way down to the bottom of this email so this is where we are going to put all the things about not receiving any more of these, in really small gray print:

If you don't want your username to appear in the list of supporters for the business then reply to this email with 'private'. To stop receiving these emails edit your account on 9carrots.

Holly crap these badges are so incredibly gorgeous that I'm inspired to completely change the culture in my local community through 9carrots now. I simply wouldn't have been interested in the future of my children if there wasn't a fucking round blue badge involved.

Subject: You introduced someone (top move)

    by anewholm

Mission "complete and total tell other people" begun. You have a new blue circle thing which is a serious and important difference from the orange ones I'm sure you'll agree.

You may also be eligible for the "introduced someone I also fancied a bit" badge. See account » badges for eligibility details:

It's a bit silly that one really. Not as silly as the one with the birdie on it though.

As you are now spreading the idea you've unlocked the meetings and events on your map so that you can get more involved in meeting us and steering this ravenous beast of an idea.

Your next mission, should you choose to accept it, is one of the following:

    • Come to a meeting and share your thoughts. Yes, yes, you'll get a badge.
    • Go for the shop loyalty badge, unlock the business communicator and suggest some products you'd like them to stock or changes you'd like to see.

Check out all the other missions on the badges screen which all unlock ways to get more involved with the other supporters and businesses around you.

If you don't want your username to appear in the list of supporters for the business then reply to this email with 'private'. To stop receiving these emails edit your account on 9carrots.

    Subject: More better missions

    by anewholm

    What do you need?

A carrot-shaped Space Hopper? (we do)

    A semi-inflatable trouser?

No, but really. We / you / they are getting more businesses in your area on 9carrots. If you want to decide how those businesses act in your community then talk to us / take charge yourself. Sustainability? More ethical products? Your products? A meeting?

The "new business" and "negociator" missions: We have unlocked access for you to the group BRM (Business Relationship Management) section that discusses the local businesses and getting them on board and what we want from them. Have a look. Or not. Or a brief slightly disinterested impatient look. Or whatever. It's not really my business. I just do the emails on Fridays.

    Subject: new business joins network

Important bulletin for all agents: [business] on [street] has joined our network. In exactly 6 months they will invest in one of the following:

    • £50 - change lighting to low energy
    • £200 - new energy efficient fridge
    • £1000 - down payment on loan for solar panels!

For an as yet unestablished reason, the first agent to give them some love gets the coveted Mayor badge (see above). See account » badges for more cute badges. They kinda equate to missions and tell a story about changing community and the aims of 9carrots. Sort of.

If you want to get involved in deciding what the businesses invest in for your community then come to a meeting (yes, yes, you would get a badge for it!). You need to introduce someone else to 9carrots to unlock the list of events and meetings. But that's a bit silly really so you can just contact us anyway and we'll invite you :)

If you don't want your username to appear in the list of supporters for the business then reply to this email with 'private'. To stop receiving these emails edit your account on 9carrots.

    Subject: Nearly at next level

    - last 25, nov
    by anewholm

27 9carrots agents are actively operating in [area] now. Only 23 more needed to reach "engaged" community level. Which doesn't mean anything in particular except that we should probably have a meeting /party and celebrate / decide what to do.

Give someone one of your receipts to re-register next time and spread the idea. Their purchases will count towards your points too. We'll email you when they register :)

If you don't want your username to appear in the list of supporters for the business then reply to this email with 'private'. To stop receiving these emails edit your account on 9carrots.
