receipt printing

Hi,

Here are some details of a print job we need. It's a bit complicated! An example PDF and pictures of the finished product can be found at http://www.9carrots.org/societycard/admin/printing_example/. The job is basically  to create 400 receipt books. Please ring/email me for more details as it may be somewhat difficult to understand just from these details.

Some basic details:

• No collation is required. The PDFs are organised in a way that the receipts for a book are all already in the correct vertical order to be immediately perforated, cut and stapled
• Each receipt has a unique code on it, each book has a unique book id. Thus each page in the print job is all unique. This means it needs to be a digital print, not a litho print.
• 5 receipt books fit on an A4 sheet (see the example PDF).
• There will be 4 PDFs of receipt books, each for a different size.
• Each PDF contains the same type of receipt book throughout, with the same dimensions.
• The receipts are double sided, colour printed, on recycled paper.

Because each A4 sheet has 5 receipt books on it (see image), it requires:

• 6 vertical cuts
• 2 horizontal cuts
• 1 fine vertical perforation
• 5 staples
• The receipt books are also graded (stepped), see example images.

total leafs/ book: 58 (56 + cover + run-out-of-vouchers page)
total books per A4: 5
total 5 book sets in PDF: 75 / 5 = 15
total A4 in this PDF: 1 (finishing guide) + 75 x 58 / 5 = 871 (1742 sides)

total sheets: 4064 (double sided, colour, recycled paper)
total value: 200 x £300 + 100 x £600 + 25 x £1540 + 75 x £310 = 60000 + 60000 + 38500 + 23250 = £181,750

We would like a quote for:

• this entire print job
• half the job
• twice the job please
• a quote for just the printing
• a quote for just the finishing
• a quote without the stepped effect in the receipt books (which probably requires collating and re-collating)

I have printed the example PDF at 1200dpi. Is that good enough? Note that the PDF comes in the correct order to cut and staple already. No (re-)collating is required unless the stepping is to also be done.
